Go by Bicycle
From the Ventura E. P. Foster library to the Oxnard transportation station is about 10.5 miles, which would probably take about an hour to bike. Here is a rout that Google suggested. There might be better ones.

Go by Carpool
If you drive by yourself from Ventura, round-trip you put about 22 pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. If you carpool:

  • with one other person you can cut that to 11 pounds per person,
  • two people, and it's 7.3 pounds for each person,
  • four people would be 5.5 pounds of carbon emission per person.
