This newsletter can be read on line (for real this time!).

Dear Global Warming Activists,
Our Projects-Potluck is coming up this Sunday. Global warming has been a key issue in the news. And there are plenty of local and online actions packed into this newsletter as well.
Hope to see you all on Sunday!

This Sunday is our potluck, and seven excellent global warming projects will be unveiled. Don't forget to bring a place setting in addition to your potluck food, since we're trying to avoid the paper-plate-pileup syndrome.
If you haven't been to the Bell Arts Factory, it's really easy to find. In Ventura, go west almost to the end of Main St. till you come to Vons. Cut a right (away from the ocean) on Ventura Ave., and go up a few blocks. It will be on your right - and the VCCool banner will be in the window. See you soon!
You might have noticed, the list serve was finally moved. Our new address is vccool@vccool.org, and the subject says [vccool.org]
Hopefully it won't slam into everyone's spam filter. If you're getting this, we made it through!
We all know it. We need to respond to global warming, and how! Then why hasn't the USA signed the Kyoto treaty? How can Washington be so dang sluggish? And why are US citizens some of the most uniformed people when it comes to global warming?
Well - Last week our neighbor, Representative Henry Waxman, finally got some answers. Surprise, surprise, top government officials have been working with Exxon to cover-up the issue. But the word is getting out now. On January 31st there were over 550 articles under Goggle News about the global warming cover up. Here are just a few of them:
Fox News
Democracy Now
CNN
The Guardian UK
VCCool is made up of people with different political points of view. When it comes to global warming, we're coming together to work on solutions.
Whether you're a Green, a Dem, a Republican, or some other persuasion, belly up to your keyboard, and fill out Boxer's questionnaire. She is now the Chair of the Senate's Environment and Public Works Committee, and needs to know what you think.
I think you'll notice that many of your fine ideas for slowing global warming are not on the questionnaire, and that's a shame. Also, the more people who respond, the more she'll know we want action.
