Dear Global Warming Activists,
The February Plant-Projects Potluck was a wonderful event, and there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved in many of the projects.
Also there are tons of events coming up to help educate, inspire, and get everyone involved in doing our part to lower our carbon foot print. Thank you to all the new people who have signed up to receive this newsletter!

The Planet-Projects Potluck of February 11th at the Bell Arts Factory, was a wonderful event. With 75 people participating, signing up to help with one or more planet care projects, the local climate care movement grew even stronger.
The seven projects are well on their way, each with a group of climate care activists signed up to make them a reality.

In his talk, Koonin will discuss global climate issues, and as stated in
his own words, "one of the most important problems facing society –

VCCool is teaming up with local businesses (Weaver Wines and Real Cheap Sports) to put on a cloth bag design contest.
The selected design will be printed on bags in the Ventura area. There will be lots of cool prizes for many different categories including $200 for the design that gets printed, plus an art show for all entries. Locally owned businesses can sponsor the project and get their logo printed on the back of the bags.
A percentage of the bag sales will go to VCCool. And, of course, the big perk - is that lots more Ventura County folk will start using cloth bags more and start using fossil fuels and trees less!!
